After Battle Racers was discontinued, a question about the other racing games on blockchain became more actual. Surfing the internet in search of hidden gems, I bumped into a black car. This car was a new racing game on blockchain, CryptoMotors.
Right after I saw the gameplay video, the thought crossed my mind: this is Asphalt but play-to-earn. Indeed, neon-vivid graphic style and arcade racing mechanic are sparking such assumption.
On the other hand, the futuristic environment and some quirky-designed cars reveals the fact that game’s concept roots to the F-Zero series from Nintendo as well. Especially, F-Zero GX that was released on GameCube.

Recently, the developers launched the alpha test of the game in order to gather feedback from the players. In the whitepaper, they promised four game modes in the final version: track racing, off-road racing, drifting, and drag racing.
The cars will have unique stats in speed, acceleration, handling, grip, braking, cool down, and generation. Also, the developers are hosting a creative contest for futuristic car designs.
Personally, I would like the developers to implement tuning mechanics, similarly to Need for Speed Underground, and big variety of weapons, like in Mario Kart series from Nintendo.
