Two world-famous brands, adidas and Prada, are revolutionizing the digital space by creating impressive NFT collections. The collaborative digital art project is part of the ‘adidas for Prada Re-Nylon‘ collection; “blending Prada’s expert craftsmanship with [adidas’] lineage of sportswear innovation.”

The NFT drop is inspired by the physical Re-Nylon collection and brings fashion, design, and crypto into the metaverse. The NFT project involves user-generated, creator-owned art inspired by the two fashion giants. The 3,000 community-sourced art pieces, compiled as tiles in a single mass-patchwork, created by digital artist Zach Lieberman.

“As an interactive, dynamic platform, the project enables the community to contribute to a large scale artwork through play and discover the transformative benefits of web3, co-creation, digital ownership and NFTs,”

the project’s description says.

The whitelist opens on the 24th of January, and users will be invited to produce their own creative contributions by submitting a photograph using a filter designed by Lieberman.

Once the whitelist closes, 3,000 contributors will be randomly selected, though 1,000 spots are reserved for adidas ‘Into the Metaverse’ NFT holders. A further 500 spots are for those who tried but failed to mint ‘Into the Metaverse’ NFTs during the public sale.

From January 26th – 27th, selected users will be able to mint their photograph contributions as NFTs at no cost. Lieberman’s mosaic will be minted as a single, final NFT and will auction on SuperRare from January 28th – 31st.
